So I was going through my library last night, re-reading various interviews, excerpts and chapters. I then get to "The Motley Fool Investment Guide" - WORST.BOOK.EVER.
After having scanned the 280 page mess of excessive verbiage that is called the "Investment Guide" I found only one single interesting statement: "over the period that America Online scored its twenty-five-bagger, a consistent 20 percent of its total sares outstanding remained short, making a short-interest ratio of 10 days".
To give you an idea of how questionable these guys are, they do not advocate stop-losses(except on shorting "overvalued" stocks and then %20 stop-loss is used).
They do not have any records whatsoever or any relevant qualifications/experience in the industry - "Tom graduated with an honors degree in English and creative writing from Brown University, and has been formally trained in just about everything but finance".
The Retards "Investment Guide" position on T.A & resistance/support:
"Next, put your hands together for the amazing Phyrum - magician to princes, wizard of the North, prestidigitator extraordinaire! Observe the sleight of hand, the sheer hocus-pocus, the hypnotic influence that this master of mummery exerts over millions"
... "Phyrum scorns the tedious reality to which you are bound, inventing instead entirely artificial schemes of perception."(He did mention he had a creative writing honors degree)
Moral of the story: Do not ever touch this book, if you want to see how retarded it is for yourself then don't buy it. I'll send you mine.
